John Morrissey, Managing Director for Peterborough-based Indesit Company, has taken on an additional role as chairman of AMDEA (the Association of Manufacturers of Domestic Appliances), the trade association for the domestic appliance industry covering the whole of the UK.
Mr Morrissey said: “AMDEA works with and represents domestic appliance manufacturers, distributors and importers in the UK in important areas such as energy consumption, environmental impact, appliance design and safety. I am delighted to be taking on this role and am looking forward to helping shape this agenda on a UK and European platform.”
Mr Morrissey takes over as AMDEA Chairman from Uwe Hanneck of Bosch Siemens Home Appliances who held the position for the previous six years.
