Thunderbird’s Own Sylvia Anderson Secures Early Support from Amica for Launch of New Multi-Media Station.

GloTime.TV is the breakthrough Arts and Lifestyle multimedia television station from iconic Thunderbird’s creator Sylvia Anderson. Amica kitchen appliances has announced it is supporting Mama’s Kitchen schedule as part of a highly targeted digital media campaign for 2015.

Sylvia in partnership with her entrepreneur, publisher daughter Dee, launched the station in 2014. The mother and daughter line-up have brought together a young creative team of writers, film makers and social media experts to deliver magnificent lifestyle features, Arts reviews and compelling Thunderbirds insight that will also be the launch pad later this year for Sylvia’s latest animation The Last Station.

2015 will see GloTime.TV benefit directly from the huge media and consumer interest in the 50 year celebrations of the launch of the original Thunderbirds.

Dee Anderson explains “There are 30 million consumers in the UK who love Thunderbirds and are fascinated to this day in everything about it. GloTime.TV is not ashamed to admit we are aiming to capture the imagination of all those who remember the original series and all those who will undoubtedly love the new animated Thunderbirds Are Go Series due to air on ITV. Support from lifestyle brands like Amica has helped us secure such early success, but it is our Thunderbirds heritage and media interest in Sylvia that will give the channel its early traction. The channel is aimed at thinking active families with an interest in the arts and family activities and events; it’s interactive, beautiful and we are thoroughly enjoying the challenge.”

Amica which plans a yearlong campaign of advertising, consumer competitions and a number of recorded cooking films, is one of three sponsors for Mama’s Kitchen section of the channel.

Simon Freear, country manager for Amica “Broadcasting online is becoming more and more important. There is a cerebral feel to what GloTime.TV has achieved, it is a great fit for Amica and we look forward to maximising our association during 2015.”
