This site has been set up to enable Independent like minded Gas Installers to explore the possibility of creating an Association to represent us to the powers that be, with regards to gas matters.
The excuse that, The independent sector is difficult to consult with, will no longer be valid.
We have started with the title as above as it seems to encompass all the potential members with whom we are trying to connect with.

To begin with we need to discuses how we should be structured.
To develop and form a set of Articles of Association.
Decide how we can create an initial structure for managing and achieving our aims.
We shall need to be adaptable in the first instance to enable the Association to grow and develop.
We shall need to develop a strategy to enable and encourage all those who join to act in a co-ordinated manner to achieve the maximum impact.
If we can get past those hurdles, we can then explore what areas we feel we should concentrate on. With information from the HSE and any other relevant sources on the issues that need to considered.
By developing an archive of the many documents that we should consult from day to day in one central place accessible by us all, we can explore where the weakness are, what we would suggest to improve on the current scheme. To lobby for a more realistic approach to gas safety matters and their real life impact on real tradesmen.
