Air-conditioner maker Blue Star Ltd on Tuesday signed an agreement with ISA SpA to bring the Italian company’s refrigeration equipment to the Indian market, reports Reuters.
Blue Star would source products worth Rs 200 million from ISA, a maker of refrigeration units for retail units, in the first year and sell them co-branded as Blue Star-ISA, Executive Director TGS Babu said. “We are largely airconditioning at this point of time and lesser refrigeration,” Babu told reporters. But yes, we wish to increase the refrigeration component of our business.”
Blue Star also planned to enter bulk cold storage market to benefit from demand in the logistics sector, Babu said.
