Bosch Logixx Fault Codes

Bosch washing machine error codes and spare parts

There are a number of different versions of the electronics used in Bosch Group made washing machines and washer dryers that are sold as Bosch, Siemens and Neff, and most of them use different fault or error codes when they have a problem or a spare part fails. This particular article relates especially to the range of Logixx washing machines that have an ENR number in the format of WAS****GB/** where the asterisks are replaced by a number for each one.

The likes of Logixx 8, for example, is only a Bosch Logixx series washing machine that has an 8kg rated load capacity; it is not a model number.

So far as we are aware, these were used on models from all three Bosch owned brands, Bosch, Neff and Siemens. We have limited information as Bosch does not allow independent repairers access to technical support.

Before you start any investigation of the fault or even remove the lid of your Bosch washing machine or washer dryer, please read and fully understand this article in full and pay particular attention to the safety and information notices at the bottom of this page as they contain extremely important information!

Please remember to support our site by buying Bosch washing machine spares from our spare part store and if you decide that you really need an engineer, please support the local repairers that help make this site possible. You can search for a Bosch washing machine engineer using our engineer search.

  Bosch Logixx Washing Machine Spares

Please check that any Bosch washing machine spares recommended are suitable for use on your particular model and ENR code. If you are unsure about the suitability of any spare part, please ask to ensure that you get the correct spare parts for your washing machine. Please, don’t guess or assume as spares can be altered on a production run with the same model number, having several different alternative components used.

In order to ensure you get the correct spare part and, it is very, very easy to get the wrong one as there are a huge number of variants on these machines.

Please contact us prior to ordering to ensure you get the correct Bosch washing machine spares for your particular machine.

To do this you will need, from the rating plate either inside the washing machine door or from the back of it, the following information;

 • The full ENR number, which will typically be in the format shown above of WAS****GB/** where the * represents one number
 • The is also an FD number, while this is not always require,d it is better to have it

Not checking this can cost time and hassle, it’s worth the time to make sure you get the correct spare part. It also means that, when we check it, we can also check for any compatible spares required and, by using email etc, we can send you parts information if required, images and so on which we cannot do any other way.

  Reset The Washing Machine

For most BSH-produced washing machines, the reset procedure appears to be much the same and is carried out by following the steps as follows in order:

 • Turn the program dial to the off or reset position (should be at the 12 o’clock position)
 • Turn the dial to the 6 o’clock position
 • Press and hold down on the spin button and simultaneously turn the dial to the 7 o’clock position.
 • Hold the spin button for around 5 seconds and then release.
 • Turn the dial to the off position

Once the machine is powered up again the error should be reset or cleared.

If the same code comes up once again then there will be a problem of some kind that will require further investigation, diagnosis and any fault resolved. If you require further assistance to diagnose a problem with your washing machine please use the forums for that.

Bosch Logixx Washing Machine Fault Codes

These fault codes are written for washing machine repairers and not for the general public by Bosch and they assume a certain level of competence on the part of the user in diagnostic routines. We have added some notes to try to assist you in determining the nature of the fault you have but, you will still need to investigate each failure on its own merits.

For more help and advice on fault finding on a washing machine, please refer to our washing machine fault finding guide from this link before you begin to help you diagnose the problem with your Bosch washing machine.

If you struggle or cannot find the appropriate fault code that you need for your washing machine please ask in the forums and the gusy there will do what they can to help and locate the meaning of the fault code you need

Get Bosch Washing Machine Spare Parts

Getting the correct spare part to repair your Bosch washing machine can be very confusing as there are many variants, even with the model number it is sometimes the case that a serial or production number will be required to ensure that you get the correct spare part. However the full model number or ENR number is normally critical to getting the correct part.

Apart from that there are often lower-cost compatible spares available that we may be able to recommend that can offer you a considerable saving.

We recommend that you contact us with the model information, and we will give you guidance on pricing, availability and any lower-cost alternatives that can be used.

More Bosch Logixx Washing Machine Help

Should you need more help and guidance, please use the links from this article as most of them will help you to understand your Bosch washing machine or washer dryer a lot better and probably very much help you in diagnosing the fault you have. Of course, there are many other articles on the site that will also help you do this.

In addition, you can post in our forums after registering but please do pay heed to the information below before doing so and read the guides, they are there to help you.

You must understand certain things before you begin or attempt any repairs on your own and we want to make these points very, very clear to anyone that decides to investigate one of these or any other washing machines:

 • We are not responsible for your safety, you are and by using this guide you accept that and accept that any damage that you may cause and work undertaken is entirely at your own risk.
 • We will advise the common causes of the fault codes but we cannot guarantee that any parts or work recommended will resolve the issue. It is entirely your responsibility to diagnose your particular problem and resolve it.
 • We are not responsible for you buying spares that do not resolve the problem, this is down to your own diagnosis not ours.
 • No warranty is inferred, implied or given.

You also have to be aware that fault or error codes are not a “magic bullet”, they will not tell you what the problem is, they will only offer you an indication of where the problem lies and they are no substitute for good old-fashioned diagnostic skills. You can find out more about what fault codes actually tell you in this article. So please be well aware that, even with this newfound knowledge, you will still have to actually be capable of investigating and diagnosing the problem and this means adhering to basic appliance safety for working on them.

Please note that manufacturers can and do change fault codes without notice and we cannot guarantee that these error codes will apply to your particular model as all codes apply to a wide range of appliances and not normally any one specific model. To determine if these fault codes do apply to your particular Bosch washing machine model please post a request to confirm this in the forums.

 1. Hi, my washing machine has display nr0 when you try to press any buttons and has not spun last load and wont do anything. Can you advisewas32460GB/08

 2. 🙁 My Bosch logixx 8 washing machine is not filling on normal wash programs..It is showing “fault 17” and I have therefor cleaned both filters back and front..The machine does get water only when on a prewash waterplus program set to rinse and spin! I do not understand if the water can get to the drum on one program why does it not on the others.. I am hoping it is not a program fault and if that is the case is that very expensive to mend/replace?

 3. Please ask in the forums as none of the engineers will see that here and there is no F57 code listed on this series of Bosch washing machines. It might exist but not be listed though.

 4. My Bosch fills normally but finishes was in about 10 seconds with out washing the display just counts down from 135 mins to 1 in a matter of seconds why?

 5. My new Bosch washing washing has E43 appeared on control panel E NR is WAQ24461GB/01 FD9204 000687 what do I need to do, this is the first time is used.

 6. I’ve moved my washing machine upstairs & the water pressure is not great.A couple of minutes after I put the machine on I get the error code F17. Then I press the start button again & it carries on washing. Sometimes it happens more than once – but usually once. The water pressure is low – but it works, so why does it do this?

 7.
Not high enough water pressure basically.
It’s low – but when I press start the second time it works. So it may be low – it is low – but it will work. Is it too sensitive?I’ve filled the gaps in the kitchen now with extra cupboards, I want to keep the machines upstairs in the spare room.I can’t increase the water pressure. Do I just have to put up with it?

 8. Bosch logixx 7 – error code f18 googled it done as required now saying error 17 – this is non stop since we paid £1000 for it help !

 9. The machine (like all these days) has a fill timeout feature meaning that if the washing machine doesn’t fill up fast enough then it will give an error, for this Bosch washing machine range, F17 is the error for a fill timeout. This is hard coded into the washing machine, it cannot be overridden or avoided.Where the pressure is low and it occasionally works but sometimes doesn’t could be because something else is drawing water at the same time as the washer at times, causing the pressure to drop and the timeout to occur. There is no cure other than to sort the incoming water pressure.

 10.
There is no cure other than to sort the incoming water pressure.
Thank you.One more question, the washing isn’t washing properly, it’s like it’s not getting enough water. Will it wash without a full quota of water in the drum? I assumed it would just fill slowly, but still fill none the less. But my clothes are coming out smelly now :-(As I said I’ve had it moved upstairs. Moving it back isn’t really what I want to do :-(The plumber tapped a coke fill pipe off the pipe that fills the loo, but I guess that’s the same supply that fills everything up there, so I doubt filling from another copper pipe would make much difference :-(How do you increase water pressure upstairs? Is it very expensive?Thank you Kenneth for your help so far.

 11. Hi Kim,It will be going slower than it should I expect but, that shouldn’t have too much bearing on the wash results. That largely depends on what detergent you use and other factors although low water pressure probably won’t help. The only way I’ve ever seen water pressures increased is by using booster pumps and, yes, it is expensive I’m afraid.

 12. My new Bosch washing machine wag16260In has E5 error appeared on control panel. what do I need to do? and what is the reason behind it???
