The boss of a failed Mid Wales recycling company has been bailed to face magistrates for alleged offences under the Environmental Protection Act.
Clifford James Matthews, 47, of Walton, near Presteigne, faces four charges jointly with his company, Industrial Plastics Recyclers Ltd, after allegedly creating a “fridge mountain” in the Welsh town of Knighton.
Magistrates at Llandrindod Wells yesterday adjourned the case to March 23 and Matthews was granted unconditional bail.
