Turkey’s its rapidly growing economy and its important steps toward EU membership is making it a favorite for foreign investment.
Darty, a distributor of electrical goods and part of the Kesa Electrical Group, will open branches in Turkey.
As Europe’s third-largest electrical retailing group operating in nine countries, the British company will open 20 stores, the first three of which will be in the Mecidiyekoy, Istınye, and Gungoren districts of Istanbul.
With over 3,500 items in stock, the store will also sell its wares on the Internet.
Darty’s Turkey chief Nedim Esgin said: “We say we sell the cheapest products under present market conditions. We guarantee to pay back the difference to our customers who find cheaper products than ones in our stores.”
The company was very excited about making their brand a part of the Turkish market, said Esgin, adding that the brand was well-known in countries such as England, France, Italy and Switzerland.
Esgin also said that they were determined to provide the best product at the most reasonable price with the greatest service to customers.
Nedim Esgin, former general manager of well-known Turkish brand Arcelik, said that the company, registered at the London Stock Exchange, had over €6 billion in annual revenue.
