Industrial conglomerate Finsei has sold its 90 per cent majority stake in Tecnowind, an independent manufacturer of cooking hoods and electric hobs, to BS Private Equity. The stake in Tecnowind was purchased by the BS Investimenti IV fund.
Tecnowind Group had a total turnover of €70m in 2005. The group operates in six factories based in Fabriano (Ancona) and in a newly established production site in China. Tecnowind is mostly focused on foreign markets, which accounts for 85 per cent of their total sales and in particular on Europe – which accounts for 80 per cent of total sales.
Tenowind acquisition is the third BS Private Equity’s investment realised in 2006, following their Arena and Ducati Motor acquisitions. Paolo Baretta and Riccardo Collini managed the transaction for BS Private Equity.
BS Private Equity’s investment in Tecnowind aims at strengthening the group’s commercial and production strategies, with the goal of boosting Tecnowind’s leadership position in the market as an independent cooker hood and electronic hobs producer.
BS Private Equity is an Italian private equity firm investing in manufacturing and service companies. It arranges management buy-outs and buy-ins. BS Private Equity, through its BS Investimenti IV fund, has now realised a total of 13 investments.
