Reports in the Italian press seem to indicate that Candy is shaking up it’s brands in a bid to cut costs. The rationalisation is to put the Candy house in order and to unit the businesses of the appliance ones under the same roof and to eliminate duplications of structure.
The group, which is still owned by the Fumagalli family, has incorporated the Zerowatt and Hoover brands into the Candy Hoover Group, is to rearrange all the brands inside the group, since both the brands belong to 100% to the group leader Candy Spa, but that has a high strategic value.
This appears to be a classic manoeuvre to control costs.. It however is said that the operation will not lead to the cancellation of the historical Zerowatt brand. So far.
