Heads up for another tumble dryer recall, this one from Caple that affects two models sold between 2019 and 2024 for a fire risk by the sounds of it.
And, for those in the trade who recognise this as a Candy-made model, we know and we know that there are almost certainly many other brands and models that will be affected by this.
Those can be found on the .gov site here: https://www.gov.uk/product-safety-alerts-reports-recalls/product-safety-report-hoover-heat-pump-tumble-dryer-2505-0138

Product Safety Notice
We have recently identified an issue in our production of built-in tumble dryers.
Some batches may have been affected during production from December 2019 to May 2024.
In certain circumstances and under rare conditions a short circuit may result in the machine igniting.
Safety is our main priority. We would ask that all owners contact us to arrange a free of charge inspection.
