Appearance
At the end of the cycle in the dishwasher items are left with drops or a thin film of water on them. Please note that glasses or cups and mugs with any form of indentation in them will almost always have some water in those dips and nothing can be done about this.
This problem is not being caused by a fault on your dishwasher and a service engineer will not be able to perform any sort of service or effect a repair that can solve the issue

Usually the result of:
- Absence of rinse aid
- Removing items before the drying cycle is completed
- Failure to use a fan if one is fitted
- Allowing water to fall from the spray arm onto the dishwasher lower basket
Cause & Prevention
Cause
After the hot rinse the load is dried by evaporation, condensation or air current or, in some cases, a combination of these. Rinse aid helps the water “sheet” off the load and the absence of or too low setting of doseage will reduce the effectiveness of drying.
This will not apply (usually) to dishwashers that have a forced air drying function where the air is blown by a fan such as the ISE dishwashers.
Even when using “all-in-one” dishwasher tablets we still strongly recommend the use of rinse aid as it will greatly enhance the performance of the dishwasher on drying.
If the drying is provided by drawing air across the load with the aid of a fan then it is essential to have the fan switched on for optimum drying which tends to be moe even and less problematic that conventional drying.
Treatment
Allow the dishes to dry naturally.
Prevention
Ensure that the rinse aid dispenser in your dishwasher is not empty.
Increasing the rinse aid dose by one notch on the dispenser may help.
Always empty the lower basket first, before removing items from the top basket to prevent drips onto items in the lower dishwashwer basket.

Here’s another tip – if you have a numbered dial for setting the rinse aid, you can adjust it half way between the numbers. Let’s say it is numbered from 1 to 6 and you have set it to 4, but you want things a little dryer – but setting it to 5 or above leaves a lot of blue and white streaks on everything. Set the rinse aid dial halfway between 4 and 5.There seems to be a trade-off between very dry items and the odd blue or white streaks from rinse aid. If you prefer things dryer and you don’t mind a few streaks, it’s probably better to set the rinse aid slightly too high, rather than spending time with a tea-towel drying things before putting them away. Life is too short!
