I have been told by a parts supplier an inlet valve for a Currys Esentials worktop dishwasher cannot be found as its manufactured in China, is this true?
Quite possibly true.
Have bought integrated fridge. Old one removed and now need new one fitted.
We have a Beko fridge freezer in our integral garage, there\’s an odd smell around it (not foul) reminds me of celery. The unit is working (not sure if the thermostat is working properly as fridge is very cold) just this odd smell, any ideas of what it may be?
Hi Dee,
No idea at all.
It will not be the fridge freezer itself but in the environment it could be something that is happening to it as it will run longer in summer and probably get condensation on it in winter in an unheated garage. Basically it\’s not advisable to put them there and there is an article on that topic in the buying section.
I have a problem with my hotpoint tdc 32p dryer the drum keeps on going when the door is open.
Hi Peter,
That would be indicative of a door switch or lock problem.
Have a face icon on display machine won\’t start
My hoover washing machine programme selector keeps changing when you try to switch it on also sometimes does this half way through cycle
Sounds like the selector switch is faulty.
Hi.
Over heating Britannia (bought in 2000) -main- fan assisted oven. Small oven and cooling fan ok. It\’s had two main switches replaced out of warranty.
On start up, on any heat setting the fan starts then stops after a short time and never comes on again.
The round fan element heats up ok and we fitted a new thermostat supplied by Whitegoods but oven continues to over heat.
Water flashes off the outside of the door if splashed, its that hot, and the casing gets to hot to touch.
So…had new thermostat, fan initially works then stops and doesn\’t come on again but continues to over heat.
Any suggestions please.
Regards Maxwell
It should cut out on a safety stat I\’d think so, it is sounding like the switch or something wiring related that is the problem as if it gets that hot it sounds as if the main thermostat is also be bypassed.
machine showing red lock also showing no1.03
I have a logik electric built in fan oven LBMFMX15 the fan stars up but there is no heat and the light does not come on
Hi Brian,
Sadly Logik is an own label brand that is exclusive to Currys and we have little info on them. But it does sound like a selector switch or power board faulty although which we wouldn\’t be able to tell you in advance, you would really need to investigate and try to work out what the problem is.
i have a Hoover Crystaljet Dishwasher 5000 model number D7418. i need the following part 979153000 – door seal. i am told that this is obsolete and am looking for an alternative seal that will do the job. Many thanks for your help.
Hi Mark,
The info you have is correct that seal is completely obsolete, no stock to be had anywhere and no alternatives that could be used either.
AEG 502D-d GB cooker hood appears to have no power to the light switch. Do you reckon it\’s the PCB Module? Do you know if there is a PCB installed?
Cheers
Tony
Hi Tony,
On a quick look it seems there is not a control module in that one and that the individual switches can be changed, they are probably soldered in place though.
If you want more, prices and so on please give Dave a shout on spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk and he will be able to track it down for you more in more detail. If you can though, have a look inside the hood and there will be a rating plate sticker with a product code or PNC number and that will help ensure you get the exact correct switch.
hi my extractor fan comes on works perfect for 5 mins then stops and wont start again for at least 15 mins, then restarts and does the same have checked wiring all seems ok regards
