Okay, time out.

This was simply as I thought that Kevin’s business could be at risk by mentioning CDSL in the post. Turns out it got mentioned elsewhere as well, so I resigned myself to the fact that irrespective of what I did, that the information would leak out. So rather than put others at risk I did it.

CDSL have actively tried to mess up some of the market research that we were asked to carry out despite having no knowledge whatsoever of what it was about. I know this because they didn’t ask me and I’m the person dealing with it, nor did they ask any other director of UKW.

Given that, despite maybe one agent, they didn’t know af any other taking part, they could not have made an accurate assesment of what it was about or who was even involved. But despite this they have elected to “put the boot in” even in spite of the whole exercise being done to further the cause of the independents.

So, in effect, the only reason that I can see for this being carried out is one of maliciousness. Full stop.

So I’d been sitting atop a whole heap of complaints and information that agents were none too happy, so I aired them on their behalf, much as I had to do during the NESN debacle of a couple of years ago. Sad that we have to live in such fear isn’t it? And, should Kevin be sacked in the near future, you’ll all know why… it’s because he dared speak out.

Takes a lotta guts to put your livliehood on the line for a principle, so please appreciate what the guy is doing here.

As for me, I don’t work for CDSL and now I will never probably do so as I doubt they’d want someone as outspoken as me nor me seeing any issues. Not that I care much as this is going the same way as NESN did IMO and I’m pretty sure that parallels will be drawn with a service drawn up by Currys in the 90’s too.

So I ask myself, do I want to work for a business that operates in this manner? Simple answer, no.

In the end, I’ve nothing to hide or nothing to fear from this malarky and, when I’m back in the office on Monday, I’ll gladly let anyone have a copy of the form that’s supposedly caused all this, not that there’s anything in it that is a problem. It was fully checked for legality on data protection etc. long before it was issued.

If anyone else wants to take part they are more than welcome to join in, I’ll organise the forms for you. we think that certain people were a tad p***ed off that for one they stopped we gained six in their place.

All I can do is thank the people immensely that have agreed to help out, often purely on faith and, it just shows that we’re not all slaves to the master’s drum.
