ParticipantHi
Any advice on the best 1000mm range cooker to buy for around 1 / 1.5 K. A lot of good brands don’t seem to make this width, like Britannia 🙁
Stoves make a lot, but I’ve had a bad stoves cooker in the past. Falcon appear to be very expensive, Caple just appear to make up the width with extra side posts. That leaves Smeg, Baumatic, Hotpoint and DeDietrich, I think?
Cheers

Thanks Cookerfit, I’ve been given dud info by a retailer 😡
Would you say that Britannia is better than SMEG?

Ok, we still haven’t bought our new cooker. We’ve saved our pennies and gone up a level and we’re now looking at 2 to 2.5k 😮 The Falcon 1000 looks good , any views ? Is it better than a Britannia XG
We can’t find any showrooms that have a Falcon 1000 on display. 🙁 We saw the 1092 today, but it looks quite different. Does anyone know of a showroom that has a Falcon 1000 on display? Oxfordshire or Bucks would be best, but we would go further if neccessary. Even better would be one that has a Falcon 1000 and a Britannia XG 1000 to compare
Cheers

ParticipantI have never seen a 1000 mm Falcon and I do work for them 😮
Great quality cookers I might add too.
I fitted a Falcon delux yesterday and it was one of the best cookers I have ever seen, although the £20’000 La Cornue I went to the week before wins the most impressive title 😀 .
