KeymasterRe: 120 Volt pump
Simple modification can be done on this to use a standard 240v pump.
Go to maplins or rs components and get a 110v relay this wired in will supply the neccasery 240v to new pump.
job done
as long as it isnt under warranty and labeled you shouldnt have a problem.

you could try http://www.jla.com , at their spares dept.- they are commercial laundry company, and i know a couple of years ago, they had large stocks of 110 volt pumps as used on the maytag neptune washer they were selling .
they were the usual permag type pump – you may need to change the cap.

Glad you noticed, Richard, and did not ship them out to the trade as 240v items as an un named supplier did a few years back with fridge bulbs, they were all 120v versions in 240v boxs, boy were they bright….for a short while 💡

any info gladly receivedWe had trouble with this type of pump a few years ago. It was a standard British Zanussi installed in a van on a Drilling Rig powerd by a big diesesl generator running at 240v at 60Hz. The pump was unreliable, frequently it would not start. I changed the pump; ten times no better ! I consulted Zanussi Technical and was assured a 50HZ pump would not be reliable at 60Hz. They tried to get a 60Hz unit but it never appeared.
The Site operators bored a hole in the floor of the van and stuck the drain
hose through the hole to drain the machine, then lifted it up to do the next stage of the programme. It must have been a very tedious task doing the laundry.
The drilling site was on hundreds of acres of sand dunes so the waste water just soaked away into the sand.Shane.
