ParticipantAnyone once else having a recurrence of the problem with the plastic holders melting again just like they did in huge numbers about a year ago 👿
Noticed that the last batch I received were the brownish/smoke stained colour holders and sure enough I`ve had two recalls already on them.
White holders have been no problem for the past year now and it`s going to be rather annoying if we`re going to be faced with these problems again.Maybe I`ve simply been supplied with old stock (batch no. P88990).

Yeah, i’ve seen that problem, i’ve found that this is normally due to bad contact on spades where they are connected onto brush or also most times the sump hose is full of sh1t & puts extra pressure on the motor if its spinning a soggy load. I have found the problem you mention with a batch of brushes, obviously they are not built to withstand the temperatures created.

Sounds like someone is sending out old stock. The only problem I have had recently is that one or two of the holders have been a very tight fit.
Not had anything other than white for some time, they would be sent straight back otherwise. 🙂

Checked back my invoices and Connect were the suppliers , does that batch number P88990 mean anything to anybody because if they`ve sent me old stock I`ll be looking to get the recall money back from them 👿

My latest batch of white ones are batch P103645. If they follow in numerical sequence then yours would appear to be quite old.

When the brushes melt always check the pump is not stalling or noisy – like a blocked sump it can take out the brushes and sometimes the armature or t.o.c. Seen this time and time again.
I’ve had the dodgy brushes fail within a week on machines that have had a new armature and pump. 😥
Not had any of them for about six months now, only the white ones, mine aren’t that ‘dull’ either. 🙂

Yes , yes of course I always check pump for slow draining etc. when I replace the brushes ❗
So nobody else has been supplied with brush holders that are not white in colour recently. Just me , I suppose I should have just sent them back as soon as I seen them but silly me thought there`s no way they could be sending out that crap plastic holders that melt for no reason again.Bryan

Can’t think of a reason then apart from substandard parts.

Have had a batch of the original dull white brushes. Now back on dirty brown again.

16146077 – no problems. Just accept the joy of a shorter service life and profit from it.

Black originals. No splitting.
Usually last 2 years at 5 washes/week.

Don`t want yo go on about this but I`ve just received 5 sets of 1600474`s and 4 sets are batch code P88990 (brownish) and 1 set is P109103 (white) 😕 .
SEME the supplier this time , should I risk fitting these or demand another 4 of the more up to date batch no. from SEME.
Am I right in thinking it was the brownish colour holders that caused the problem about a year ago.
In the meantime I think I will fit 16146077`s as Chris suggested.

If I was sent these I would return them at once, don’t have any problems with the white ones, have seen 16146077’s burn out in the holders as well.
The suppliers are well aware of these dodgy brushes and you should send them back from whence they came.
