Basically, if it’s a gravity drain then the 1607 is unsuitable. Most other times it’s fine.
But, the bottom line is, that only a WRAS approved plumber can actually tell someone whether a machine is suitable or not. You have to be WRAS Approved to be able to do that and, guess what, they cost a fortune.

as far as i am aware (what i have been told by various customers) if its a residential home then a normal drain is ok aslong as they have hv a seperate machine for ‘soiled’ items. if its a care home then it kicks in the rules of wras, sluise , dump valves on drain etc. personaly if they have a ws5425 which is wras approved i would stick with it to avoid any issues.
