W288eco to be precise… the subject of my other squeaky bearing post. Squeaking stopped for a while …. and now it’s back!! 👿
Machine in the workshop and I just cannot shift the inner drum – it just won’t come out despite much persuasion with ever increasing hammer sizes. No circlip around the shaft and seemingly no reason for it to not drift out.

Am I missing something, or is there a special tool to remove the drum? I don’t remember the 1606 I did a while back needing anywhere near this level of force. Help please!

    Steve.

It’s just the same deal, same setup, bearings and everything.

Thanks Ken – 4lb lump hammer eventually did it. The seal was stuck fast to the drum shaft and needed overnight soaking with penetrating oil to finally shift it Friday morning. All done and back with customer!!

    Cheers,

    Steve.
