Not so sure about that Chris – what about the other manufacturers that use manual resets like Zanussi, Crosslee etc?
The only possible problem that i can see is that it does not conform to the original spec even though it might be an improvement.

EDIT:- Sorry I thought you were talking about manual resets. Yes I agree wholeheartedly it is not safe to use an auto reset in place of a one shot as it does not address the underlying fault.
