hi all, struggling with 2 hotpoints both w/d first one has blown track on board 7th one along at top from dial end feeds light blue connector if that means anything wires off plug go to pressure switch which has a slight burn mark on as well timer number 9042426 02 this machine will not fill but will go into wash mode, will pump on dry cycle but not on spin cycle(but drum spins ok), customer says also blew fuse at fused connection unit since then never worked insulation test ok
    any ideas

other one same machine same board number intermitantly spins on wash, goes straight into full spin no ramp like loss of tacho, havent checked tacho yet but changed motor for new only 6 weeks ago im not sure but what happens if timer picks up on loss of tacho circuit? in other words is it just a board fault?

    thanks simon

    Simon,

First one is a duff interlock thats blown the timer/module unit.

Second one is likely the motor plug connector (tacho leads) I would think 😕

    Hope that helps 🙂

thanks for reply martin have come across interlock faults before on these but normally the machine is dead to go with it? and i think the track for interlock is different as wires it feeds go streight down to lock and not pressure switch normally?

Regards to the second machine Simon….was the motor new or recon?…I’ve had a couple with dodgy TOC’s in the field coil…usually shows up when the motor has warmed up, causing the spin on wash prob.
