This job is in rather posh office type building.
One dishwasher is downstairs and the other one is upstairs in the little kitchen area provided by staff.
Nobody really knew the fault or the codes they were giving so I have had to try and work it out myself.
Did all the typical stuff, both machines empty out fine, fill up fine, wash and heat up. (I used the quick wash program to test them as they would heat up straight away) Dispenser is released on time. Checked both dishwashers for internal leakage but both are fine.
I was just about to leave and put the job down to user error when the one upstairs seemed to get to the end of it’s cycle when the fast wash 40o led and the delicate 50o led (LED4 & LED5) began to flash.
Hrmmm…
I have looked at the known error coded thread on here and it would seem it represents a heating or heater relay error.
Considering that both dishwashers seem to heat ok, perhaps this could be a faulty PCB?
One thing I did notice was the top spray arm on both dishwashers was badly blocked with what appeared to be lime scale or some type of calcium deposit or possibly even residue from a cheap detergent.
Wandered if perhaps there could be a buildup of this white stuff in the heater tube causing it to give an inadequate NTC reading on the drying phase?
I don’t really want to cut the clips of the heater to find that its nothing to do with it, but I will if I have to.
Maybe one of you guys has had this one before?
I wait in hope.
Thank you,

The lining of the heater tube with limescale extends the heating time and can cause the machine to show fault code, not enough temp rise in the prescribed time, change heater, or I did clean one and refit and no comeback as yet.
Cause is incorrect water softener setting for the area or the machine is being allowed to run without salt in.
