Hi I have 2 Zanussi machines giving me a headache
    The 1st one is a ZWF12070W1
This one just pumps all the time as soon as you press the start button.
I have checked the heater & the machine in general for any earth faults, and also disconnected the pressure hose to the analogue p/switch

    The 2nd is a ZWD 1252W
this one fills & starts to wash, then after a couple of minutesit stops with the start light flashing (No other lights)
the drum turns ok, it drains ok and it will spin if put on a spin (If put on these programs). Not been to this one yet

    Any help would be appreciated

ZWD1252 could be drier element down to earth.
Hope you get some help with the other one cause I’ve got similar booked in Friday afternoon.

have had a blocked sump cause the 1*070 range to go into a kind of safe mode. where it stuck in pump cycle. even after you clear the obstruction it will stay like this. cynically i think its there so the cleverer diy customer gives up and calls zanussi out.

once i cleared the sump of foreign (literally) coins, if you access diagnostics, run their component test all the way through, and alls ok, and exit it, it seems to clear the memory chip and alls well. well so far for the last 4 months…

might be worth accessing diagnostics and seeing what error code is thrown up before assuming pcb failure…

Went to ZWD12270W today. Was doing nothing but constant pump on all progs. Then she mentioned, “oh, and the drier gave up some time ago”. I measured the element, it was OK for continuity and 19 megs IR. Disconnected it anyway and machine sprang back to life!
I’m thinking these Zan electronics get upset very easily. They really should do something about it if they want to keep their reputation.

its a “safe mode” in order to avoid damaging other components, if somehting becomes faulty it will basically shut down… until you fix i, and clear the error memory!

Hmm, didn’t have to clear the memory on mine. Maybe I’ll be having a callback next week? Not to worry, going by that way anyway.

Tried everything on one recently with constant draining. Giving a spurious fault code didn’t help either. After speaking to the Oracle (no not Johnny Vegas) at the local service Force there has been a memo about corrupted boards doing just this. Put a new one in and has been fine since…..so I’d agree with Helo on this one.

Hey lads just had a ZWD12270W today no supply to the dryer heater when drying, changed dryer PCB still the same, changed main PCB still no supply to dryer element, live supply on both sides of the main thermostat but no supply to the reset stat or element.

Checked filter all clear, checked continuity on connections from PCB’s to heater all ok, this one has me stumped, any help appreciated 😕
