went here on friday and it has a weird fault all the lights on the front blink now and again it is overmaking ice and the valve for crushed/cubed is o/c and it looks like the plastis bit has melted,are these faults linked i am thinking a rear pcb and valve.
has anyone had this before as it is a new one on me especially the valve as never had to change one on any make before.

very common on the newer units ; officially recommended to replace ice solenoid, rear board front board and water inlet valve 😯

or buy a capacitor and relay kit for peanuts!

this is a different version mark . issue with inlet solenoid shorting, damaging board (s) and jamming ice solenoid on which then overheats . not the well documented “other” whirlpool board faults
