2nd hand parts…

I know there seems to be a growing market in second hand parts. I have used 2nd hand parts once I think which was Miele part…so a hell of a price difference.

If you’re going to sell a part make an effort. A couple of miniutes in a bit of citric acid this element would look brand new:

A 2nd hand heater element is not a part I would risk buying or fitting. I’ve occasionally fitted a 2nd hand part I’ve suggested my customer buy on ebay. Electronic modules for 2 Miele dishwashers I remember both priced I think £35, quite possibly around £300 cheaper than available new. In both cases they were in perfect condition, but I’d rather the risk of buying 2nd hand was my customer’s not mine.

do use the odd spare parts but selective in what i use

needed a plastic part to open a bosch integrated microwave door the other week, well obsolete but found one for a fiver on ebay. Customer was well impressed and saved him having to replace the unit
