looks as though the cheapest 10 year warranty Miele is the W3240 a very rare beast indeed on my brief search for one. The next up is a w5824 which tips the scales at anything from £1059 – £1300 with a 7kg load. even then you have to redeem your extra warranty within 28 days, something a lot of folks are very lazy about doing.

The w3420 has discontinued, and miele,s warranties are not model specific, they decide each quarter which models have which warranties.
If anyone wants a W5000 i can do it for £2499,

Didnt realise ISE made a half machine, and i think running 2 ise’s would be a bit more expensive, what a daft thing to say.

Really, looks like they used a cabinet from the 1980’s. For that money I’d want it looking modern.
I bet its made in China……. Miele where sourcing there 2011.
I’d hate to be the poor tech that has to call to repair it, you get enough grief from Mrs Bucket with her £799 washer from John Lewis, nearly 3 grand it’ll be your boll888cks if you cant fix 1st visit. :rotfl:

Only their vacuum cleaner parts then they brought them back and assembled them in Germany and said “made in Germany” on the badge “allegedly”. unless they are outsourcing even more now.
I know they put things out to tender to other companies and if they can build it to the same spec or better then miele and cheaper of course then they get the contract. Nothing wrong in that its just how they hide it which wrong.Phil

Oddly IME, the reverse is true. Assuming its someone that can afford it, then the more they pay the more understanding they are regards service. They also believe they have an exlusive product and only a specialist can repair it so are content to wait it out.
If they cannot afford it and have credited themselves to the hilt to buy it then its a different matter. See my older “smeg in a council house” for thoughts on that one.February 12, 2013 at 7:13 pm #389781DrDill

I just seen a Miele Dishwasher for a mere £450 reduced from £1,200. People aren’t prepared to pay that kind of money. I will wait for further reduction then I may buy it. Oddly though it comes with 5 years guarantee…

Why ever not?….the value of money is relative to those who spend it, the more you have the little concern as to the price you pay. Wealthy people want the best and Miele make the best with no shortage of custom for them these days.

You are correct in that statement martin, but your wasting your breath as some on here will spout all sorts of nonsense and in some cases have never opened a miele in anger!
Cant wait for someone to say that an ISE is not worth the money,” the wrath of K” will descend hopefully.
