got a hoover auto on board a ferry machine is marked with a label on rear 240v 60hz

this is a new machine but main motor will not work with load in it but works ok with non

checked motor and it is labelled 240v 50 hz

question is this motor ok on 60hz and will it lose power or is the wrong motor fitted and is there a 60hz replacement

have got mod but not to hand can be supplied if needed

    Re: 60Hz

    I HAD THIS BEFORE,

i think ive got this the right way…
    mainland is 50 hz
boats produce 60hz , so motor/pump dont run prop..

no cure for this, unless you fit a motor that can run@ 60 hz

    Re: 60Hz

I have come across a few domestic machines on boats which were converted for 60hz use. The conversions were done by Southern Contracts Ltd of Bournemouth. You could give them a call as they are usually helpfull. 01202 422100
