OK, thanks Richard, I don’t personally hold an account with you but a few of the guys here do I would think.

A customer walked in today with one of these, still in washvac pattern wrapping that she bought 6 or so weeks age requesting a refund. Now normally I would be very offish and charging a handling charge but in this case I made an exception…. 😆
So, I have one……….

I’ve got some from Qualtex now 😀
There should be no more supply problems from the pattern market for now anyway.
Masterpart should have them by now as well I assume Techbois ?

KeymasterRichard,
You should give Merloni a call and see if they want to buy some. 😉
Mind you, if the reports are correct they’d have their own in stock by the time an engineer could call to fit it anyway.

Had a customer today, D&G are replacing their 3 year old cooker due to the unavailability of this element. Someone somewhere within Merloni has a lot to answer for.

Did anyone ever get any of these elements? Our last lot ran out last week and we had 8 calls enquiring on Tuesday alone. (all the customers are calling with the part numbers so we know they have been doing the rounds. Most of them quoting Belling numbers) A lot of turkeys are gonna be uncooked this year. 😳

KeymasterRichard @ Masterpart has them in stock Mark. Dunno if you’d get them by Friday though. 😕

Hi all
Just a thought ( probably wronge )
But I thought at a pinch you could fit cre 6224546 as a alternative.
I know the two types of belling ones are easy to swap. but I cant remember if the creda ones will ❓
feel free to call me stupid if this is utter rubish but I am sure I have done this in the past.

Just noticed today that Elctrue’s backorders of ele3798 have now been released, but are showing out of stock again today for new orders, still no sign of the gen article.
Must admit, Streetlighter, never tried to fit a ‘curly’ one in its place so dont know if it will fit or not.

Hang on, I have both here, I’ll go and check……………………………………………………………………….
……Well, it would go if you had a drill handy, the terminals are nearly 2cm wider apart, in theory though, not impossible to make it fit.
I’m still getiing them via Qualtex, no problems there at all 😀
Dave.
