    Hi,
    I’m designing my kitchen.
    I was originally going to settle for a 600 fridge, but if I make my cupboard a little smaller I can squeeze in a 700 fridge – or can I?
    Is leaving a 4 cm gap too tight to open the door?

    It would be tight. Why not have it next to the door ?.

    Thanks Bryan. My original plan was to have the fridge by the door, but I don’t think it’ll look great there as the room actually is an open plan one (on the plan I just drew the area set aside for the kitchen), with the dinning room area at the bottom of the plan, with double doors to the lounge area. This means you would see a side of a fridge from where you’re sitting and I thought the side of a tall oven housing unit to be more appealing.
    I’ve decided to go for a tall 2000 x 600 fridge in the end.
