701 Wont start!!!!

    Hi there I have a F&P 701 its actually abit old but still good. All of a sudden it wont start. All the lights light up no odd beeping or anything. I was told how to test it to see if the pump was working ok and it was…

    It was suggest that the lid button maybe faulty. ie when u put the lid down it activates and the machine starts its cycle..

    Anyone have any ideas before I get the repairer in and it starts costing $$$. Any suggestions would be appreciated! 🙂

    Lid switch is under the top deck – release two screws at rear of casing to allow access. Switch may have failed, dodgy/wet/corroded wiring also common.

    701 Lid Switch is part of the display module
    There is a little plastic piece that the lid hits to activate
    The fault also could be due to dicky start button (Which is part of the Display module) When pressing the start button you should feel the same sensation as when pressing other buttons an the control panel
