ParticipantWe are about to have a new kitchen fitted & will be replacing our efficient Bosch freestanding dishwasher with an integrated one (600mm wide). We are considering either Bosch again or Neff. However, we are a little confused over which size to chose as the Neff come in 2 different adjustable heights – 810-870mm & 860-890mm. I’ve only seen 810mm so far for Bosch – but could be wrong!
Assuming the worktops will be fitted at 870mm, does it matter which model we choose? The flooring is likely to be either laminate or Amtico / lino type – don’t know if that makes any difference.
We’ve asked the kitchen fitters which one we need & got conflicting advice, so I’m hoping that someone on here can sort out our dilemma! It’s just that we’ve seen several of the taller models at some competitive prices, but obviously don’t want to make an expensive mistake.
The models we are considering are:
Neff S55T59 or S54M45 or S54T59
Bosch SGV59T03GB or SGV46M43GBAre we just safer choosing the 810mm option? Hope someone can advise, many thanks

Bosch/Siemens/NEFF is one group, so they are all basically the same machines. Choose the one with the options which suit your needs – people like the ECO options these days, and some have a half load facility for small loads.
As far as fitting goes, take the 860/890mm option – this will avoid the machine being jacked up high on spindly legs.

Many thanks for that Penguin. That seemed to make sense to us at first glance, when looking at the Neff brochure. It just seemed strange that when we looked at Bosch they seemed to be the shorter 810mm height, so we didn’t know if that was the ‘standard’ size across brands.
One kitchen planner told us to go for a taller one – unless we’re having thick ceramic tiles on the floor & then another guy advised to go for the shorter one in case room is tight under the worktop. That’s what comes of asking I suppose!
Thank you for your reply – and for responding so quickly too!
George
Btw, sorry Mrs P – the name is just wishful thinking (by my wife too – obviously!) -
