Hoover washing machine error E03 think if stops half way through cycle

E03 officially means the machine has difficulty draining, but can alao appear if the heater element is shorting out

fastest way to find out

disconnect element and run a rinse

if ok change heater

get this fault a lot on various machines. heater has slight earth fault but not enough to blow trip but just enough to upset the electronics

Depends on whether the circuit is RCD protected – older installations are often not. In my experience, it can be triggered by the heater coming loose and hitting the drum on spin
