ParticipantI acquired a Britannia SI 10T6 CL CC 100cm range cooker that was supposedly in excellent condition. I was told the only thing at issue was that not all positions of the 9 function switch were working so on investigating I find that it has a Gottak 801200 switch where I was expecting to find a Gottak 850900 if the information online was to be believed. Some of the female terminals were scorched and to my eye this had prior attempts at repairs. I will replace the switch completely but would like to confirm what switch model should have been in the cooker. The information on the label includes the model, plus JPD 100-6NMP and a number 04290624 that I can only think is the serial number. In the next section of the label is NR A1303 2004. Can anyone confirm if this cooker should have the Gottak 801200 A3409 switch or the Gottak 850900 A3408 switch? My presumption is that it should be the former. Also is the wiring diagram in the users and installation instructions for model SI-9T, SI-10T and SI-12TP accurate or is there a better one that gives cable colours and source and destination of each cable? Also the expanded switch C which seems to have 2 versions.
Thanks in advance for any help.
cheers
Peter

KeymasterIn theory it should be this one in it:
https://shop.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/a03408-oven-function-selector-switch
But check physically as some do use this one:
https://shop.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/a03409-oven-function-selector-switch
Wiring diagrams there’s virtually no hope of getting.

ParticipantThanks for that. The 9 position switch that is in the cooker is the A03409 that is shown in your second link and I would have expected that in cookers after 2004 so that is what confused me. The fact that some of the positions do not work is a concern and the green light near this switch is missing altogether. I am going to reterminate all the dodgy cables and see if the wiring can match the diagrams I have. I think I will give the complete underside of the top a thorough degrease as I perceive that the oily residues are a contributing factor to what ails it. Once done I can then test thoroughly and decide if to use the A03408 or A03409 switch. If I keep to the numbering that I see I can at least check it with the diagrams that I do have. I can then also look to put back the green light.
Thanks for your help.
