ParticipantHello everyone,
This is my first post so treat me gentle 🙂
I am just about to buy a new washing machine and have got 3 that I am interested in, they are-
Hotpoint WF541P
LG WM12231FD
Bosch WAE24162
I am almost tempted to go with the Bosh but has anyone had any experience of the new LG machine? Thanks in advance.

Hi
Bosch is a good choice, 2 year guarantee.
You could also have a look here http://iseappliances.co.uk/
standard 5 year free parts 1 year labour, upgradeable to 5 year labour for an additional payment.Regards

I wouldn’t go for the Hotpoint, because there no where near as reliable as they used to be, the LG’s are hard to get spares for if they go wrong, Bosch have a very good reputation, and are reasonably priced, so I would go with the Bosch.

Of the appliances you list I could only recommend the Bosch but much depends on how you intend to use it and what you are prepared to pay.
Do you have six children and is the machine going to be working all day every day? Under these sort of circumstances Hotpoint IMO, 6 months, major repair required, LG Similar, Bosch would probably cover it’s 2 year guarantee without repair. For total peace of mind and excellent service, it may be a few pennies more but check out the ISE Machine.October 21, 2006 at 10:14 pm #192912JasonM

Thank you all for your views, the ISE machine looks good but as it will cost more to start with it may have to be the Bosch.
