A little whirlpool Ignis help please?

Hi guys, I’ve got an older whirlpool Ignis oven that was in the house when I moved in nearly 9 years ago.

Last night there was an audible pop and the plug fuse blew. After changing the fuse the fan runs, the heating indicator light comes on but no heat. I’m guessing the element has burned out. I’ve replaced one before on a standalone cooker before but this is a built in so a little fiddler to get at.

There are no model markings on the front. And googling finds no photos of the same oven.

Description is two dials on the right hand side of the front. One controlling light/fan/oven/grill setting with a single orange inducator above it. The second controls temperature.

On the left side of the front are two lines F: showing same symbols as dial one. C: showing the temperature ranges for the oven and grill. There is no timer/clock/display at all.

The closest I’ve found was a similar oven in white but the handle moulding was wrong. It ran the full width of the door instead just being central.

If need be I’ll pull it out to find a model number but im just hoping someone recognises it from the past.

you can use an online server to host the photo and then just post a public link ( make sure the link is not to your private viewer that needs a password)

have you tried pulling the unit out to see if there are numbers anywhere else

if all that fails take element out and we should be able to find one that fits from a few measurements

Morning Dave, pulling it out was my next plan, just hoped someone might have recognised it. I know they only use 2 or 3 fan oven elements across the models, it would be just my luck to buy the wrong one 🙂
