I have an Ebac (FAFBM521WH-GB) fridge freezer in the garage. It has not been used since the end of September. I want to use it again over the Xmas period, but each time I plug it in and switch on it just throws out the trip switch.
I have tried it in another socket with the same result. I have checked the cable and this is intact. I have changed the plug/fuse with the same result. This, unfortunately, exhausts my electrical knowledge. Can anyone help?

If it has been sat in a damp environment then something will be wet and earthing, causing the trip to blow.

Figuring out what exactly the cause is is probably best done by a repairer if you don’t have electrical skills.

    Hi

Move it into the warm house for a period of 48hrs without plugging it in to see if the damp will dry out.

Then whilst its in the house turn it on.
