I have fixed my motor by putting some new brushes in it and it is ok but I think maybe a tad slower on the spin the brushes were cheap .
I did not realise that from the same place for about £1.50 extra they sell laminated type brushes for the same machine saying that they are better I will paste below what they say .
why is lamination important? because it actually disperses the heat which is created by the motor operation , thus preventing arcing and early burn out.
These brushes are made with the grade of carbon (laminated) that was originally specified by the makers for the particular application, why is the grade important ? because the grade chosen is dictated by the speed of the motor, eg high speed motors on quality machines are usually a higher grade
My question is would I be better off getting these and fitting them ?
