ParticipantI got a tearful phonecall on Sunday from a loyal customer that I had only recently installed a brand new machine * for her only last month in fact. Her 3 year old son had grabbed a hazelnut from a bowl on the worktop above the machine, opened the dispenser drawer a popped it in shutting the drawer behind. His mum spotted what had happened and pulled the drawer open, in doing so the hazelnut rolled straight down the dispenser-tub hose and into the drum.
The childs father then (for some stupid reason I cannot fathom!:rolls:) tried to yank off the door boot adjacent to the drum. The force he used was extreme to say the least as he’d torn the door boot almost in half. Big argument ensues between the two of them and hence the tearful phonecall on Sunday afternoon.
Needless to say I went along today armed with a new door boot and found that the hazelnut was just sat in the tub inlet hose and a simple retreaval job to sort. The total job cost around £50 more thanks indeed to the husbands handywork! 😀
* A 2 lb bag of hazelnuts the amazing prize to the first person who can correctly tell from the photo what make of machine this is?
