I had a guy on the phone today, not a UKW or WTA (that I know) member but knows one who keeps telling him to use the site, I just happened to answer the call. Anyway, he was on to get some Amica bits and got to chatting a little and, again, I heard this complaint…

Whenever you put *blah* machine repair into Google all you get is Repaircare coming up and I’m going to people that have paid £120+ and getting £55 for my trouble.

It was a range cooker, no idea what other rates are.

TBH I’m sick to death of hearing this complaint.

So, I’ve been plotting, scheming and doing my usual of researching it to death and trying to come up with a way to combat this recent phenomena and, I think I may be onto something.

To kick it off, we (I) will need a bit of time to do some stuff behind the scenes tech wise that need sorting. In the meantime, I’m going to get onto it a bit and see what I can do more than I have already.

However, I need you lot to resurrect the engineer’s page thing as that is a VERY important part of it all to get it kicked off and apart from it being the gift that keeps giving to the troops, it may well pay dividends later. But, only if they actually get off their lazy ar$e$ and do it.

That’s the first step, I need it to be done by the troops.

If they want to do something to combat this other than just bitching about it then they have to be prepared to do a little work and help themselves. If they can’t be bothered then, TBH, why should I be?

    K.
