Please help. I left the door on our Hoover FF Freezer door the other night, only about 5mm. But next morning all was a mess. So i cleared away all the ice & thought that was that. But now the freezer will not cool properly. Set to 5 (max). Fridge is fine. It’s just the freezer.
The fan comes on ok. Warmth is transmitted to the rear ‘radiator. That’s warm. The freezer is empty except for a small plastic bowl of water. After 6 hours the water is very slightly frozen over, but not frozen through.
I was wondering if it was the thermostat….??

before you jump to any conclusions do a complete defrost

switch off at plug and leave the door open for 2 days

its possible that frost is blocking the air flow
