Cheers helo…. can i be nosey and ask what you would quote ( over the phone ) for this work,taking into account the customer bought the parts ( although im sure the spider could possibly be damaged and customer has only bought the bearings.
I wouldnt do the work unless a new spider was fitted.
As far as costs I would personally charge £80 for the labour.
When I was with hoover, the way we removed the drum assy was first take off anything that will restrict drum unit comming out, (bezel,timer,valves etc) then put a piece of thin wood into machine to protect the side from front weight then lay machine on its side, pull unit out.
