Access to control module: Miele W504 Premier 500

Please, excuse my ignorance.

I have removed lid, front panel and soap drawer screw. Normally I would expect the top plastic control panel to easily detatch itself. However, there are two screws which are behind the plastic facia and I cant get to them. It’s almost as if the transparant window (which has the writting/program functions behind it) need to be removed – thus allowing access to these two screws. But, it feels like it doesn’t want to be removed and forcing it will shatter it.

Any help please! Feel stupid not being able to solve this!

Have looked on manuals lib, but they only have operating instructions, no schematics etc.

miele plastic facia is held by springs at the bottom. slide the plastic down and it will go down just enough to clear at the top and enable you to remove it

springs are loose so don’t lose them
