I’ve just had the ‘board from my Diplomat ADP8132 repaired by QER in Cumbria. I posted it on Monday and it was back by the end of the week. They also gave some additional phone support, warning that the board had been damaged by an external source (possible the heater). Can I test the rest of the machine using a multimeter to find the fault?? It went phut near the end of its cycle leaving a small amount of water in the bottom and tripped the circuit protector. Please help. Thanks HM

with the power off disconnect the heater and check for a resistance across it, if there is one, it should be ok, providing its not down to earth.

you may be better calling out an engineer if your unsure.

Thank-you. I’ll give it a go……..and then ring an engineer when I find out just how difficult that is!! 😆

    Dear Mr Kandl,

I’ve just opened my returned PCB from QER and they’ve indicated that whatever caused the fault on the board came in from a particular cable. The cable goes to what looks like a sensor inside the door touching the inner surface (so presumably a thermistor?). I’ve measured the resistance of the sensor and it’s open circuit. Does that sound right?
