ParticipantHello.
I’ve got a Whirlpool dishwasher ADG7470/1—-854274715001.
Drain pump runs and pauses a number of times then after 5 mins flashes 8 times.I popped the front cover off and was expecting to find a pressure sensor with the mesh but not on this newer type one.
Would anyone be able to elaborate what 8 flashes is referring to.
Thankyou.July 12, 2017 at 4:58 pm #448890electrofix

Thank you very much Dave, it suggests it could be the OWI or pump problem but it drains fine so leaves me with a OWI problem.
As far as I could see there isn’t one on the machine but the exploded diagram shows either a OWI or pressure switch in the same place but no part numbers. 😕
Would you know how this machine knows its empty of water.
Many thanksJuly 12, 2017 at 10:52 pm #448892electrofix

I am guessing here and reading between the lines.
it says it has a load sensing circuit on the pump. that means it measures the current to the pump which will be lower when its empty ( like Bosch). it also means a worn pump will have a higher current and fool the electronics. possibly ?

Load sensing circuit more like no sense circuit. Looks like I’m going to have to buy my pump raffle ticket and keep my fingers crossed and hope its not the PCB.
I’ll keep you posted.
Roll up roll up !!
Many thanks Dave, really appreciate your help.April 21, 2018 at 10:20 am #448894jrrepair_2000

I don’t know what the outcome of this case was but have sent you the same manual I sent Rolf. if your 12Nc number is different then don’t trust the parts list
