ParticipantHi there,
I’m Robin from Holland and signed into this forum as it is very active and I hope to find an answer to my problem. I’ll try to explain my problem as good as possible as English isn’t my native language.
I have a Whirlpool adg9553m which makes a crunchy noise after about 1 minute.
- After a reset the machine starts (as usual) to drain remaining water.[/*:m:7zg97lc6]
- Then it taps water and the bottom gets filled. After a short while (I guess the heating up of the water cycle) I hear noise as if a rotor is broken. This stops after a few seconds[/*:m:7zg97lc6]
- The water heats up and gets hot.[/*:m:7zg97lc6]
- The soap tablet door still opens but after that nothing really happens anymore.[/*:m:7zg97lc6]
When I open the door after it stops once the water is pumped in and already made that noise, it makes this noise for a few seconds again once I close it again. This continues to happen when I open the door after a couple of seconds or minutes.
During this noise I noticed that the hose which leads to the heating element, the element itself and the pump in the back vibrate all the way.
My logic tells me that it must be the pump which circulates the water.. but then again I’m no expert and might mislead you in helping me solving the problem.
What I did/checked thus far.
- No water leakage.[/*:m:7zg97lc6]
- Cleaned the machine with soda. (machine is very clean though)[/*:m:7zg97lc6]
- I dissembled the circulation pump and for as far as I’m able to tell it all looked clean and alright. No broken stuff or anything strange. I oiled all the parts which rotate and put it back but nothing happens.[/*:m:7zg97lc6]
- Did a reset and tried a couple of times[/*:m:7zg97lc6]
Is there a way to check the rotor spinning while I dissembled it so I can exclude it is the pump?
Personally I’m pretty sure the pump is broken because no water is being sprinkled after it was first filled with tap water. But I don’t want to take a risk in buying a pump for 150 euros..I really hope someone can help me out!
Cheers,
Robin -
