ParticipantHas anyone got a diagram or an explanation of some kind to know how the pressure switch can be adjusted. They have like 3 bits to screw to change water level in a washing machine.
How do u know which one to turn etc
Any diagrams or other responces would be much appreciated

All modern Pressure Switches without exception cannot be adjusted!!! 🙁
Whilst they do have adjusting ‘pots’ for various levels within, usually they are sealed with some sort of adhesive to prevent air leaks and tampering.

Best advice mate is not to touch them, they are factory set & sealed to prevent tampering, order a new one, too much of a risk of flooding and / or machine going on fire perhaps !

yeah thats what we did.. we set it back to factory settings as we counted how many turns etc we did.
It would be sp much easier if u could adjust them there and then though instead of making 2 trips out

I’ve adjusted pressure switches before with no ill effects mostly on single or double level switches after cleaning out pressure chamber mostly on older candy dw unscrew to lower the level but if water has got in bin it
never had much luck with hvr triple level ones. i think philco sent out a memo to there agents telling them how to do this years ago maybe you can get an old copy if anyone has one .

If the pressure switch has been arcing and the contacts getting hot the plastic adjusting screw may have been melted to a short mushroom. Adjustment is only temporary in this case.

MarkGod I remember those, they cut the water level by so much that if anyone washed a few towels the heater was unvovered.
