    Hi
I have an admiral american fridge freezer model number GC2224GEKB. The freezer keeps defrosting and the fridge temp varies from 1 to 10*C. Ever since I have had it it has clicked loudly from where the cold air comes out of the freezer to the fridge. I have had an ” engineer ” out at it and he says I need a new circuit board at a cost of £450 plus labour. Was looking to see if he is correct or it could be anything else a little cheaper.

    Re: admral american fridge freezer

It could well be the PCB but £450 is a bit OTT.

The part number is 12868513 and it’s a little south of £100 plus VAT and, available for the control PCB.

If you mail Dave on spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk with that info he can confirm it etc. if you need one.

that sounds a bit closer to the mark. How easy is it to get to for replacing and would I be able to do it myself, I would be able to replace the PCB but only if I can locate it on the fridge. No point buying one if I can’t fit it

I really don’t know, I’ve never done one to be able to comment.
