ParticipantSerial no. 10033142GC Having a nightmare with this one! Originally fitted a new board as there was no voltage to the compressor. On fitting the new board, I now had 240v to the compressor but compressor was clicking on and off. Fitted new compressor – all running nicely, no problems. Approx 3 weeks later customer calls to say fridge freezer is faulty. On return find that it has not been defrosting. Took a belt and braces approach as I had parts in stock and it was near Christmas. Changed defrost heater, thermostat, thermistor kit and replaced the board with another new one just in case the first new one was faulty, although I found no problem with any of the parts fitted! Appliance continues to not defrost properly and banks up with ice every 3-4 weeks. I’m a bit stumped now! The only thing I can think of is there are different configurations of boards and I have ended up with the wrong one? Any advice on this would be gratefully received. Cheers! Kez

you have got to configure the board yourself before using it.

Thanks for that, we had already configured board to 05 as on the rating plate and the board had been fitted for approx 4 weeks before it built up with ice again.Haven’t come across this problem before bearing in mind we have changed everything possible? Any ideas please? Cheers Kez

this does sound like a tricky one mate!
the defrost termination stat is firmly fixed on the backflow pipe isn’t it?can you force the defrost via the board? do you know how to do it?
cheers.
