Admiral Fridge Freezer

Hi, I have an Admiral fridge freezer 27ADIW and the front pick off (holds the milk bottles in the door) has broken for the second time. I purchased the last one from Maytag – part number 61003850 for £49.17 on 5/4/02, but really can’t afford to pay that much now. Does anyone know where I can get a cheap replacement? Many thanks. 😕

There won’t be a cheap replacement I’m afraid as Admiral is a sub brand to Maytag and only they control the spares prices in the UK.

Interestingly, I looked at this part on the US website http://www.maytag.com and it’s only 30USD inc shipping charges, the only problem is they only ship to the US and Canada 🙁

Hi I am just about to throw my Admiral Maytag 27ADIW out. The council are due to pick it up next Wednsday 2nd Aug. It’s only 6 years old and we think the compressor has gone. They were asking silly money to fix it so we decided to buy a new fridge Freezer for a few extra hundred pounds rather than have it fixed i. If you live in Surrey or are willing to travel, you are welcome to come to take what you want for free. It’s in excellent condition

Silly money? how much did they quote… I did one for £180 a few weeks ago.

It’s sounds like it, I think they where taking the Michael. Maybe we need more Polish in Surrey, that will put the wind up the greedy sods.
