    Hi there

My Admiral side by side fridge freezer is not working properly. Ice not being made in freezer section (it is cold though but not as it should be).

The fridge is not cold at all. Any ideas?

Have tried to find repairman in the repairs@ section but no luck.

Please help – had to throw lots of food away

    Cheers

    Hi
Its more likely that the freezer section is choked up with ice thus not allowing airflow to fridge.
There are numerous reasons that can cause this from basic ie leaving freezer door open by accident for a period to the intense ie defrost heater/thermostats etc.
Ideally you need an engineer. Hopefully some UKW engineer may pick up on this.
Failing that you could contact the manufacturers Maytag for some assistance.

Decided to defrost unit so turned off and back on the next day.

Now working like the good old days.

Thanks for your help. This is the best forum of its kind I have ever seen.

If it re occurs after a week then you do have a defrost problem of some sort.

If you telephone the call centre on 01737 231 000
They will arrange for a service engineer to attend, or offer a telephone number of a Admiral Service Agent.
