Hi – can anyone confirm the part number for the front pcb (fridge section) for this model. We have received 5045174609722 from Connect, which differs slightly in looks to the one originally fitted. The board requires a code to be input from an ID label inside the fridge; typically there is no label in this particular fridge! We just want to make sure that we have the correct board to begin with.

cannot help with the code though would talk to Maytag in the UK.

access the service menu as per the instructions supplied with the board and then use code number 05 or 25. either one of those should work.

Further to your help. we have fitted the board which has now allowed the fridge-freezer to refrigerate, however the customer is complaining that the fridge will not go below 6deg. Is this commonplace on this model? Seem to recall having one similar which didn’t get much lower. Also, the customer eventually found the rating plate stuck to her user manual which had the code 08 (which didn’t seem to work) rather than the ones suggested (which obviously did work) – would that have affected it in any way?

this would be a rare fault on this model, unless there is a system fault or a fault with the defrost cycle.
what is the fridge setting?
has the customer got the side vents open?
how does the customer know that it’s 6c? with the greatest of respect, i’ve lost count of the number of times the customer has told me that their appliance isn’t cold enough, only to produce a supermarket £1.99 bought thermometer and swear it’s a scientific instrument.
also, and i’m sure i don’t have to tell you this, but where is the customer taking the temperature reading?
the code that you used to program the pcb should be ok.just a few ideas. hope it helps.

Hi Kez,
What did you code the board?
Iam aware in a very few instances where coding the board which is a jazz15 version 05 has caused this problem. Try coding as 01 failing that you may need a version jazz 14 at least.
I amonly aware of two issues but its a possibility. Definatley try 01 in the first instance if its coded 05 otherwise let me have the serial number.
